Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls… It has been done!

I recently decided to stop wasting time waiting for K-Pro, I-Pro, “Stage 2″, etc. and went ahead and did my own thing and increased boost levels on my car. (as mentioned in my previous post)

Initial Mods — CTSC Stage 1

Comptech Supercharger Kit
3.6″ pulley (4-5 psi peak)
Ghetto crushed FPR modification
Stock injectors
Comptech provided spark plugs
82.5″ 7rib Goodyear Gatorback Belt
Hondata/Comptech reflash
VTEC drops to 3000 rpm with a VTEC window to 5800 rpm
Ignition retarded
Cam angle advanced
Air fuel ratio richened
Hondata Intake Manifold Gasket
AEM Cold Air Intake
SSR 4-2-1 Race Header w/ Test Pipe
GReddy EVO2 Exhaust
Shell V-Power 91 Octane
Mobile 1 5w30

Resulting in 251.6hp/164.1tq to the WHEELS @ 4psi

=======================================

Upgrade Mods — COMplex Stage X

Swapped out the original 3.6″ pulley for a 3.2″ PulleyBoys pulley
Swapped out the original 82.5″ belt for an 81″ Goodyear Gatorback belt
Swapped out the original injectors for RC Engineering 650cc saturated injectors w/ clips
Installed the AEM F/IC (Fuel & Ignition controller) using the Boomslang harness

Resulting in 272hp/181.3tq to the WHEELS @ 6psi

Initial reaction to driving: HOLY SHIT!

Winter is over (officially) but it’s still snowing at this moment. Damn Colorado weather!

Some new things in the works!

I received my SSR Race Header and installed it finally. Install took forever since Honda designed the engine bay in this car for the hands of midgets and children. It sounds great, and seems to perform well. Recent dyno shows a 23 peak whp gain over OEM header. Different dyno in different conditions, but still exciting.

I am in the process of trying to pioneer some new things in the world of the FG2. After several conversations with Greg @ RedShift and Tobi Connell @ TC Performance, I’ve decided to attempt my own “Stage 2.5″ for my Comptech supercharger.

After doing several calculations, I decided I will use a 3.2″ Pulley from PulleyBoys (since Comptech is on 4-6 week back order for their 3.15″) So I’m waiting for that, in addition to the smaller belt.

I’ve also purchased and installed an AEM F/IC, and have purchased some RC 650cc injectors.

Hopefully I can get everything installed and squared away this coming weekend so I can have Tobi work his magic for a tune. I may need a fuel pump or additional parts. We shall see.

In less exciting news, I had my windows retinted. Was sick of the legal 27% or whatever it is and decided to go 15% on the sides and rear, and 35% on the windshield. (Yes I tinted my windshield) The shop I took it to did an excellent job. I’d plug them here, but they don’t exist since it is illegal. ;)

So that’s it for now. I still have a bandolier of parts that need to be installed that I’m just too lazy to make time for. Brembo rotors, Hawk HPS pads, some skunk 2 goodies, Exedy clutch & flywheel, and I still need to order my replacement JL 10w6v2 since I accidentally blew up my original.

Watch this space in the coming weeks. I may be the first to run higher levels of boost through a Comptech supercharger on the k20z3. Weeee!
